Pest Control Software FAQ: Straight Answers for Small Pest Control Owners

These are the questions small pest control owners ask most often before trying PestBossPro, answered plainly. If your question isn't here, the live demo and the 14-day free trial are the fastest way to see for yourself.

Getting Started

Leads from your website are covered in Website Sign-Up Forms That Feed Straight Into Your Pest Control Company Software. Here are the broader questions.

Who is PestBossPro for? Small pest control companies, from owner-operators with one truck to companies running a handful of trucks. It covers recurring residential pest control, mosquito programs, rodent bait-station programs, termite and WDI inspections, one-time jobs and commercial accounts.

Do I need special equipment? No. The office side runs in a web browser. The tech app runs in the browser on iPhone and Android and can be installed to the home screen, with no app store download.

Can I bring my customers over? Yes, with a CSV import. Imported addresses are placed on the map automatically.

Chemical Records

Does it keep application records? Yes. For every completed treatment that used a tracked product, it keeps a record with the date and start and end time, address, mix and products (name, active ingredient, EPA reg. no. if entered, rate and amount used), total applied, area treated, target pest, site, equipment, tech name and license number, business license number, wind, temperature, re-entry interval and drift-prevention notes.

Will it make me compliant with my state? No software can promise that. PestBossPro helps you keep the application records many states require. Check your state lead agency's rules and the product label for what you must record and how long to keep it.

How do I catch missing records? The “need a chemical record” button on the schedule shows completed treatments still missing their record. Chemical reports pull records for any date range. More in Chemical Application Records in Pest Control Software: What Gets Saved After Every Treatment.

Scheduling and Routes

How does quarterly service work? Each recurring plan has minimum days between visits: 90 for quarterly, 60 for bi-monthly, 30 for monthly. When that time passes, the account comes due on the Waiting List map. Pins show not due yet, due now, or overdue past a 7-day grace.

How do I build a route? Circle an area on the Waiting List map and schedule it for a truck and day. On the dispatch board, auto-route Closest First or Furthest First from the shop, set the order by hand if needed, save views and print route sheets.

What about mosquito seasons? Package plans handle multi-visit programs like a mosquito season. One-time jobs sit alongside recurring work.

Techs and Customers

What do techs see? Their stops in route order with navigation, service and access notes and past notes. They tap Start, Skip or Complete, record what was applied, take before and after photos, and clock in and out. Tech GPS shows on the office map.

What do customers get? Alerts they choose (night before, when they're next, when the tech arrives), automatic on-the-way and arrived texts, post-treatment instruction emails, two-way texting with the office, and a customer app with their place on the route, invoices, payments, card updates, service requests, sign-ups, ratings and referrals.

How much texting is included? A monthly allowance of 500, 1,000 or 2,000 segments sent and received on Start, Pro and Crew. Texting is available for customers in the US and Canada.

Billing

How do I get paid? Invoices with line items and sales tax, card on file, auto-charge on completion or on a schedule, online payment and past-due follow-up. Prepayments are supported for programs.

What about commercial accounts? One client can have many addresses. A client set to Monthly, like a restaurant group or property manager, gets one statement each month covering every location.

Which countries does it work in? The US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK, billing customers in their own currency.

Pricing and the Trial

How much does it cost? Start is $59 a month, Pro is $89 and Crew is $199. Compare them on the pricing page.

Is there a free trial? Yes, 14 days, and you don't need a credit card to start.

How should I use the trial? Import a slice of real customers, set up your main mix, run one real route from the tech app, and check the records, texts and invoices. The step-by-step version is in Getting the Most From a Pest Control Software Free Trial.

Who else can log in? Office users get roles that control what they see, and techs get their own PINs and truck assignments.
